Posted @withregram @iamstefaniemichele Brought this one back from the archives with a few modifications. This is an interesting time to be dealing with clothes because we are not going out as much as usual. Allow that to work to your advantagethere is less pressure and more room for slow experimentation. Is there anything else you would add here? What strategies have been useful for you?... . . . . #bodytrust #bodyacceptance #bodyimage #bodyimagemovement #bodyimageissues #bodyneutrality #bodykindness #bingeeatingrecovery #bingeeating #edrecoveryjourney #eatingdisorderrecovery #eatingdisorderawarenessweek #bedrecovery #intuitiveeating #foodfreedom #bodypositive See more

Posted @withregram @encouragingdietitian you are capable of having holiday food. eating meals as usual throughout the day will help you feel more relaxed about the meal because you won’t be overly hungry. the meal will consist of carbs, fat, and protein as would any other meal you would eat on any other day. your body knows how to use those components. for our friends who need medication to help with getting components where they need to be, take your meds as prescribed. it...’s okay that you need them. I can’t say this one enough, look at all your options before hand and pick the ones that sound the best you and provide you with carb, fat, and protein. prioritizing the food you enjoy will make this a better experience. also spoiler alert : you’re allowed to enjoy food, and you’re allowed to have preferences. I can’t stress this one enough, wear something comfortable. some loose, breathable, stretchy. seriously, we’re going for functional chic. 2020 has been long enough, you don’t have to wear that super cute outfit that you can barely breathe in. give yourself the peace of comfortable clothing. it’s very normal to feel uncomfortably full after a holiday meal. it’s part of the process. your body knows what to do with the food. uncomfortably is not a binge. you don’t need to do anything to make up for it and you still need the next meal after that (be it dinner or breakfast the following morning). be gentle with yourself. be kind. be patient. thanksgiving is Thursday with a fancy meal. (and a despicable origin story....)
