As we wind down our celebration of "Pride in Food Services Week," our dietary associates were treated to a socially distanced luncheon in their honor and were recognized with tokens of appreciation. Our maintenance department also installed an awesome handmade hanging memo/menu board in kitchen to keep everyone inspired and up to date on changes. Dietary team, the job you do here is so important to so many people. Your department is the heart of our building and your meals set the pace for our days. We appreciate all the extra love that goes into each plate you prepare and the attention you give to each cookie and cake you decorate. Mother Teresa charged us to, "Do small things with great love" and we think you are doing a great job! Thank you again and we hope you had an awesome week! #wearelynnhaven

Hey good lookin'... fried chicken is what's cookin and man oh man do we love our Lynn Haven fried chicken!!! All in house agree that it is a favorite. Ms. Johnson says, "Chicken is so much better when you are not the one doing the frying or washing the dishes!!!" On average our dietary associates defrost, clean, batter, flour and fry 100+ pieces of chicken every Thursday. We want to take the opportunity during "Pride in Food Services Week" to highlight our Food Services Manager, Amanda Worthington, C.D.M. Amanda started her career with us in 2013 as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Due to her tremendous work ethic and desire to learn she was promoted to Scheduler, then to Environmental Services Manager and eventually she made her way to lead our Dietary Department. Amanda completed her Certified Dietary Managers Course last year and she conti...nues work to obtain her Associates Degree in Business from Central Georgia Technical College which she will complete in May. Amanda works hard with her team managing all the processes in the kitchen, ordering all of our food, charting, cooking for special events of the facility and prior to the pandemic was providing "Lunch on Lynn Haven" a monthly outreach program to our local business partners. Amanda you are such a blessing to this facility, all of its patients and our associates. You take great care of us and we are grateful for your persistence, kind spirit, generosity, sense of humor, patience, but most of all your cooking and ability to lead!!! #wearelynnhaven See more
