Players in grades 9-12: Gabe Haithcock is hosting a 3v3 tournament at MSC to benefit a local toy drive. Get a team together and bring a new toy as the entry fee. If you don’t have a team, bring your gear and a new toy and you will be placed in a team. Show up and support your local community while having a good time playing with your friends. This past weekend, MSC teams competed in the UFA Fall Classic Tournament. A great weekend was had by all! We want to specifically recognize a few teams who performed exceptionally well at the tournament. Coach Kenny’s U13 girls made it all the way to the championship but were defeated in penalties. Coach Matt’s 09 Boys also made it to the finals but were defeated in penalties. Coach Seth’s U10 Boys and Coach Thiago’s and Coach Sofia’s U9 girls both won their championships! Congratulations to all MSC teams for a great weekend. Thank you to players, parents, and coaches for representing our club well! Have a happy Thanksgiving and enjoy your break. We will see you in the Spring!!

Parents play such a big part in our success as a club and we appreciate you and your support!Coach Thiago’s U9 team thanked their parents Saturday by giving them a rose at the last home game of the season. Then on Thursday they had a little fun with a parents vs kids game. Hopefully no one had to call in sick from work today!

Congratulations to the 04/05 girls on their undefeated season in Athena B. They finished 1st place in the division and only conceded 4 goals all season. Good luck in the Presidents Cup next weekend!!

Congratulations to our 04 Boys Elite team. This weekend they ended the regular season undefeated with a record of 6 wins and 2 ties to win the Classic II/III South Division. Congratulations to the boys and Coach Alex on a great season!

We had a great turnout for our first Halloween Dutch 3v3 tournament. We saw some really great costumes and the kids had a blast. Thanks to everyone who came out! Congratulations to the tournament winners and the costume winners!

MSC Members, If you, one your kids, a friend, or a relative is interested on giving back to the soccer community, we have a great opportunity for everyone! We received a communication from the local referee organization (MGSOA) stating that they will not be able to cover all scheduled games tomorrow. Unless we get more people interested on becoming a referee, this will continue to be an issue all season long. So, we need your help!!! ... We can always use an adult to cover games here and there, but we understand that on order to provide our kids with a safe environment, we need proper/licensed referees to officiate youth games. This is a great opportunity to give back to the soccer community, learn the game from a different point of view, and make money along the way! Most games are played on Saturdays, and you can at times make yourself available for multiple time slots. In addition, this year courses are offered all online!!! MGSOA will provide on field training during games to assist you with any questions, and help you improve as well. Our select program had a great weekend of games. Over all we won 6 and tied 1 game. Score report: U14 Girls: 6-0 U17 Girls (pictured): 2-1 U13 Boys: 4-0... U14 Boys: 2-1 U15 Boys: 3-0 and 5-2 U19 Boys: 2-2 Great job players and coaches. Look for great things to come from our select program this season!

Next time you’re at the fields, check out our 2010 boys coached by Coach Robert. These boys are serious competitors and great players. They put on a show every time they play!

Over the weekend, many of our MSC teams played in the AFC Lightening challenge tournament. We wanted to give a special shoutout to our U14 Girls team and Coach Connor for advancing all the way to the championship game. Unfortunately they lost in the last minute of double-overtime to a talented TopHat team. Congratulation girls and Coach Connor for an awesome 2nd place finish against some tough competition!

Attention Parents: Beginning this Wednesday, July 1st, we will be having pickup games at the complex. Academy players are invited to join us at 6 pm and then Select players at 7 pm. We will offer these every Wednesday for the remainder of the month. This is a great opportunity to get back on the field and play with friends. We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!
