Fun evening with MTA and bus operator extraordinaire Anthony Center riding "Sparky," our new electric bus on the new Second Street Corridor route! If you're looking for wholesome fun, travel through downtown Macon on Sparky to see the Main Street Christmas Lights Extravaganza and the growth, enhancements and improvements throughout downtown. Day or night, the new one-hour, 8-mile Second Street Corridor route includes the Dannenberg Lofts, Ocmulgee Outfitters, Second Stree...t Salvage, newly completed Second Street Bridge, new housing & senior towers on Plant Street which has transformed the area, the Mercer bridge - beautifully lit at night, Mercer Village, and the new housing on both sides of Oglethorpe Street. It takes a team of people to operate the MTA, and every person and every job is important. We pride ourselves on our fleet. MTA has replaced 19 buses in the past two-and-a-half years and eight buses this year alone. So every day, when the routes are complete, we have a team of workers who wash, sweep, wipe and sanitize each bus, in addition to the high power disinfectant spray every bus gets nightly. Watch as some of our great bus washers make our buses shine so they're r...eady for service in the morning. Thanks guys!!

Request your absentee ballot & check the status of your request at mvp.sos.ga.gov. Some absentee ballots have already been mailed so watch for yours.... Today (December 7) is the last day to register to vote. The only safe way to ensure your registration is to drop off your request at the Board of Elections or register online. Early voting begins next Monday December 14, 2020 at the Bibb County Board of Elections or the Elaine Lucas Senior Center in Central City Park.
