Macon GYN/OB Associates, P.A.

This is Dr. Durkee. He is originally from Macon, Georgia and attended Stratford Academy. He went to the University of Georgia and majored in microbiology. He returned to Macon for medical school at Mercer University School of Medicine. Dr. Durkee is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a member of the Bibb County Medical Society and the Medical Association of Georgia. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Tennessee School Medicine is Chattanooga at the Baroness Erlanger Hospital. He is a Board Certified Physician. Currently, Dr. Durkee is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Mercer University School of Medicine.

This is Dr. Carter. He was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. He attended the University of Tennessee, where he majored in biology and graduated in 1985. He is a 1989 graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Medicine. He did his internship and residency at Charity Hospital of Louisiana-LSU Division, graduating in 1993. He joined Macon GYN/OB Associates in 1993. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a member of the Bibb County Medical Society and the Medical Association of Georgia.

This is our Nurse Practitioner, Cindy Lucas. After receiving her nursing degree from Macon State College and Georgia Southwestern College. Cindy earned her certification as an OB/GYN nurse practitioner from Emory School of Medicine. She is a graduate of the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program and has a NCC certification in women’s health.

Let’s Welcome our New Doctor, Dr. Bryon A. Brooks! He received his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. He is currently a volunteer firefighter, and formerly a member of a Rescue Dive Team. Outside of work, Dr. Brooks enjoys outdoor activities and has a 2 year old daughter.

This is Danielle Brown, our midwife. Danielle grew up in Macon, GA, where she graduated high school from Mount. de Sales Academy. She received her ADN from Macon State University in 2010 and went on to get her Masters of Science in Nursing, specializing in Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in 2019. Outside of her career, Danielle is married and has three children.
