Most of us "don't like to think about it" - and we put it off and don't - until it is too late. That is a major mistake. Think about this... Most families require both incomes to live and pay the bills (especially the mortgage). Life is short, and we never know when our time is up. We all know this, but don't like to ponder it. Reality is this... if your spouse didn't come home today - would you and your family be able to stay in your home? Would you be able to pay the bills?... How would your and your family's life change? It's tough to think about... I know. But it's better to think about it NOW, verses when that day comes and it's too late. The most selfless thing a person can do is provide for their family when they are gone. Think about it! You will not benefit from the insurance policy. Your family will be taken care of and that will give you "peace-of-mind". That is a great feeling, and it takes a lot of stress off of your family after you are gone. Here's a true story... I was meeting with a young family discussing the needs for protecting their home and family when they die. I was at the dining-room table speaking with the wife. The children were playing in the other room. We were discussing different coverages for her and her husband. I have to admit, I was really upset. The husband was in another room playing video games the whole time. I wanted to say something, but I respected the wife and their home. If this guy had his family's best interest at heart, he would have been sitting there with us discussing taking care of "his family". Maybe I getting old, but I wanted to jerk a knot in that guy. He needs to realize that nothing is more important than his family. If he died (without the coverage I was getting for him), his family would not be able to stay in their home. Yes! They would be on the street. Think about it now. Do something about it now. Your coverage will never be cheaper than it is TODAY. Premiums, options and coverage is based on age and medical history. We all want to get older, and we never know what medical issue that can come up tomorrow. Is your family and your home important to you? It costs nothing, nada to find out what you qualify for and all YOUR options. It only takes about 20 minutes to find out. That 20 minutes can make all the difference in taking care of your loved ones. I don't pressure anyone... in fact... I take the pressure off of you, and give you "peace-of-mind". Just call me and I'll set an appointment that is convenient for you. If your family is important to you, give me a call at 478-256-6479. I'd love to help you. If you don't reach me, please leave a voicemail and I'll return your call promptly. Thanks! Jeff McCray

What if I told you that you could buy a brand new luxury car drive it for up to 30 years, and if you didn't wreck it - turn it in and get all your money back (yes, every penny). Would you buy it? I know that I would. What if I told you that you could protect your home and your family in the exact same way? Call me and I will give you all the details.... ~ Jeff McCray ~

I read an article in the USA TODAY newspaper that was eye-opening. Being in the Life and Mortgage Protection Insurance business - I knew that being diagnosed with dementia, Alzheimer's, and/or schizophrenia is an automatic "decline" for life insurance (that is unless you already had a policy in place before diagnosis.) - but what I was unaware of is the "numbers" of which are associated with these diseases. People with these diseases (especially Alzheimer's) often live for ye...ars after reaching the point where they need 24-hour care. This leaves families in a emotional, financial and logistical mess. More than likely, you know of someone who has or will have to deal with this problem. "Take a deep breath" ...now the average cost for round-the-clock care (which can be necessary for 5 - 8 years) is a median annual cost of $91,250.00. That is $730,000.00 for 8 years. WOW! Medicare doesn't pay for long term nursing home care, and even rehab stays often are cut short, says Judy Stein, founder of the Center for Medicare Advocacy. Long term care insurance can ease some of the cost, but doesn't cover everything. Many families turn to Medicaid. Mary Kaump spent nearly eight months gathering the paperwork for her mother-in-law's Medicaid application. The documents filled two large boxes; the bank cost for making check copies totaled about $200 alone. This was after they spent their $400,000.00 savings they had saved to care for them in their old age. The process could overwhelm anyone. People can seek the advice from elder-care attorneys, who can navigate the financial mess, sort out power-of-attorney issues and help patients writing living wills. This is definitely something for us all to keep in mind. One way to combat this is to have a policy in place that covers critical illness diagnosis. These policies are very reasonable if you get them in place (before age 60) and lock them in for long period of time. If you have any questions, please contact me at 478-256-6479.
