We got to ride the public transit bus today with Mr. Ross, MTA CEO and Dr. Greenwald from P&Z, along with a Work Based Learning coordinator and student. We are using the data from the transportation surveys to assist with MTAs plans to increase frequency and connectivity to get students and adults to work. #prosperitymatters #maconmatters

Leadership Macon hosted Economic Development Day at the Chamber and heard from our talent and workforce partners of Georgia Power, Bibb County School District CGTC Economic Development, and WorkSource Macon-Bibb. Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce Chairman, President and Workforce Engagement Director organized the day and would like to thank the speakers and class for a wonderful experience.

Staff learned a lot during the Apprenticeship Seminar discussing how industries can take advantage of programs to develop their workforce pipeline, hosted by Worksource Georgia and Central Georgia Technical College.

What a crowd at the Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority Career Fair today. There are a lot of folks in our community ready to work, they proved that standing in line for 4 plus hours dressed to impress in this heat. A huge thank you to Ms. Dennis, transition and success coach and Ms. Davis, work based learning coordinator with the Bibb County School District for helping chamber staff conduct transportation surveys on site.
