Proverbs 2:11-12 New International Version (NIV) 11 Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. 12 Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse Isaiah 41:10 New International Version (NIV) 10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. One of our roles as husbands is to protect our family from any outside dangers that might come to them. We take the blunt of the impact when things arise and ensure that they are okay. Butare we really protecting our wives, both spiritually and physically? Are we part of the threat? We get so focused on what we are doing to ensure that nothing comes in that we sometimes forget to cover them with prayer and love within our own walls. The first thing we should be doing when we wake up in the morning is pray over our wives so that God is with them even when we know that God will do it any way. In this way, they know that we have their backs and we, along with God have them covered. Things to take away: - Know that God is the ultimate protector of you, your wife and your marriage. Prayer is the first line of defense. - Always be conscious of your wife’s surroundings without being controlling. - Do not put yourselves in a vulnerable environment. - Listen to the Holy Spirit and be prepared to remove yourselves from any situation at any moment. #MDMURT #ToolboxTuesdays #Protection
