Mares Nest Rummage Co

This weekend is almost here and that means the 2021 Grand Opening sale for Mares Nest Rummage! Join us from 10:00 to 4:00 this Saturday and Sunday. Directions to 482 Highland Forest Rd, Cleveland from downtown Cleveland: take Hwy. 115 East toward Clarksville for 2 1/2 miles. You’ll see Highland Forest Rd. on the left. Turn there. Look for the 2nd driveway on the right. It’s toward the top of the hill just around a sharp right hand bend. Balloons will be on the mailbox. The driveway does drop off quickly so go slow! We will have people telling you where to park. Wear good walking shoes -our sale is at the top of a steep hill but we will have folks to drive you up if needed and also to drive you and your purchased goodies back to your car. See ya there! **UPDATE** Need to correct the days of our open house. We will be open May 15th and 16th from 10:00 to 4:00. Also want to say that since we have moved and hopefully will be building our new home soon, we will not be open each weekend like we have done in years past. After the open house this month you can shop us at No. 3 Vintage in Dahlonega (on the square!). It’s a wonderful shop and we are proud to have a large booth there. Once we receive our shipment each year we will ...have a 2 day blow out open house and then move treasures to No. 3 Vintage for the rest of the year. I’ll give directions to our open house address( 482 Highland Forest Rd, Cleveland) next week. Well the 2020 shipment was only one year late! Yes.it’s hard to believe but it got here and is priced and ready for our open house on May 16th and 17th from 10:00 to 4:00. My sister out did herself - a wonderful selection of 18th, 19th and 20th century odds & ends, unusual & beautiful and many one of a kind treasures. Mark your calendar. The open house will not be in our previous location (we sold the farm last year!) but about 5 miles away - 482 Highland Forest Road, Cleveland. I’ll send out directions before the sale. Can’t wait to see everyone again!

Hope everyone is ok during this crazy year. Many of you have contacted me about the opening date for Mares Nest. The good news is I do have a shipment coming this year! The bad news is it may not get here until August. Complicating things even more is the fact our farm just got placed on the market to sell. So this I can tell you: we will get a shipment and open however I’m not sure exactly where or when this year! I have seen a lot of the items coming and I know y’all are going to love it so please be patient with us. And if anyone is looking for a very nice farmhouse on 24 acres let me know!
