Please join us in welcoming another wonderful member to our growing team, Janie DeFoor, Realtor! Janie grew up in Calhoun, the daughter of a lifelong resident and local merchant. Her roots run deep in this community as does her husband Zane’s. After graduating high school, she moved away and then settled in the metro Atlanta area. Janie returned to Calhoun in November 2007. Following a career in the corporate legal world, and a grueling 11-year commute from our area to... downtown Atlanta Janie retired at the end of December 2018 to pursue real estate. After receiving her paralegal certification in late 2002 from Kennesaw State University, she decided to pursue her real estate license and was licensed in Georgia in March 2003. Janie was formerly affiliated with Avenues of Atlanta Real Estate in Atlanta with her primary focus on the Cherokee and Cobb County markets until November 2018 when she moved her license to focus mainly on Bartow and Gordon County properties. Janie has continued to keep her license active since 2003, staying current with all Continuing Education requirements and up to date with all aspects of the industry and market trends. She is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Georgia Association of Realtors, and the North West Metro Area of Realtors. Real Estate has been an interest since purchasing and building her first home in 1977. It became a passion when relocating her young family to another metro Atlanta county and realizing all the amazing aspects of the business.
