Her full name is Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix Zero One. Seven of Nine AKA Seven. I just realized that she is almost 10 years old which means... 7 of 9, is almost 10 because she didn't get 8.

Don't throwaway onion stubs. Put it in the ground and in a short time you will have a new green onion. (Also some Cilantro and Arugula from seed but they can be grown from cuttings too.)

If we receive any more rain we are going to become a Fish Farm. I don't want to buy scuba equipment for the Chickens but at least the Ducks will adjust.

Do you know what day of the year has the earliest sunset? ....You may be wrong. December Solstice (Winter Solstice) is on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 5:44 am in Washington DC. This day is 5 hours, 28 minutes shorter than on June Solstice. In most locations north of Equator, the shortest day of the year is around this date. However, the earliest sunset is actually on December 6 or December 7.

Even though we have been hit hard with wilt (i.e. Verticillium and Fusarium) our cucumbers are doing well and the fig tree is producing. We can’t report on the sweet potatoes yet but they are looking good. It’s our first year growing the long bean. Good flavor but or production hasn’t been that good perhaps related to the aforementioned wilt. The muscadine is doing well, lots of fruit (hope to keep the critters off them.... Most of the Berries (Straw/Ras/Black/Blue) have been treats for the chickens, squirrels and wild birds. Sometime we get some ourselves.
