McRae Rotary Club will not meet for the remainder of November nor in December.

The McRae Rotary Club will continue the weekly meetings through the end of November. No meetings will be held the month of December.

The guest speaker at the October 13, 2020 McRae Rotary Club program was Joe Hansley. Mr. Hansley is with the Joe Hansley Foundation. (JHF). Joe was born and raised in Hazlehurst, GA but now lives in Virginia. During his 7th grade year of school, he lost his father. After high school he joined the Navy where he served for 15 years . Mr. Hansley started this organization to help mentor, motivate and inspire young people. Through this organization the youth build relationships with mentors and have the opportunity to visit colleges and military bases. Rotarian Billy Routh was in charge of the McRae Rotary Club program on October 6, 2020. Mr. Routh introduced his guest speaker, Neal Stanley who is currently serving as a Telfair County Commissioner for District 4. Mr. Stanley is seeking re-election as Commissioner for District 4. Commissioners’ actions that Mr. Stanley has supported are: Collection of delinquent taxes In-house garbage collection system... Installation of County Public Safety Communications Tower Paving of Whatley Vineyards Completion of the Telfair County Jail project Sold the old Amercord property in Lumber City Working towards completing projects sat the Telfair County Recreation Department.
