We at the Monroe County Fine Arts Center want to thank the community for their support and investment in our student visual and performing arts programs. We terribly miss our students filling the stage with music, art, and theatrical performances. Please know that having to cancel so many of our student events and postpone our professional artist visits has left us feeling sad. We have made the difficult decision to postpone Mary Persons' production of "For The First Time....... In Forever...." to January 15th and 16th, 2021. Current tickets will be honored for this date change. Tickets purchased for December 4th will be moved to January 15th, and tickets purchased for December 5th will be moved to January 16th. Once again, we appreciate your interest, your patience, and your understanding as we have worked our way through these most unusual times. We look forward to the day that the Fine Arts Center doors are open wide, our stage is overflowing with talent, and our audience seats are filled with you and your friends and family. Please continue to follow us on Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), and watch for our emails. #mcsfinearts

The Monroe County Fine Arts Center is missing its wonderful patrons and all the talented student and visiting performers. While we "socially distance" ourselves, let's revisit some of the fun we've had over the past three years. We consider our Fine Arts Center to be our community's Pot of Gold. Of course, this majestic facility is just a building without people on the inside. Tonight marks 5 months since we started posting photo and video memories. Since March 31, we've pos...ted 152 times (missing only two nights by our count). We've featured 23 different professional performances, 32 different student events, and a host of other events and community happenings. We appreciate all of you who have checked in and helped us celebrate our first three-and-a-half years of arts happenings. We'll continue posting -- maybe not every night -- as we count the days until we can again open the doors, bring up the lights, and welcome our students, visiting performers, and patrons back inside. #welovethearts See more

The @Monroe County Fine Arts Center is missing its wonderful patrons and all the talented student and visiting performers. While we "socially distance" ourselves, let's revisit some of the fun we've had over the past three years. Tonight, from the July, 2018, American Music Celebration concert -- a little audio memory. Otis Redding III performs "My Girl." Classic written by Smokey Robinson and Ronald White (of the Miracles), and recorded by The Temptations.

Last week our staff participated in a retreat organized by The Fox Theatre Institute, where venue managers from across the state met to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on the live entertainment industry. During this unprecedented time, we are very thankful for our partnership with The Fox Theatre Institute and our fellow Georgia Presenters.
