With her written (and verbal) permission, my client @wendinunnery has given me the honor and privilege to read and share about her new book #goodenoughbook - Good Enough: Learning to Let Go of Perfect for The Sake of Holy. Wendi shares her journey of growth and change through her struggles with perfectionism, postpartum depression, and OCD, and how her relationship with God has strengthened and changed in the face of working through her pain. It takes a tremendous amount of courage to own and share our stories, and I know that many others will see themselves in her story and have hope that they can move toward recovery too. You can pre-order through @barnesandnoble or Amazon.

Oh man. I can’t tell you how excited I am to watch this documentary when it comes out. I’ve read Gabor Mate’s In The Realm Of Hungry Ghosts and one of my specialties is trauma therapy. I’ve also listened to Russell Brand’s podcast interview with Gabor. This documentary will be pure gold!!

The feelings that don’t seem appropriate for our situation tend to bring a lot of shame and guilt. This is your reminder that feelings come and go. There ...isn’t one specific way we need to feel all the time. You can find joyful moments in the sadness. You can find laughter while grieving. You can find sadness in joyful moments. You can find anger or resentment in positive circumstances. Feelings aren’t permanent and it’s ok for you to witness them as they come and go. #griefandloss #breaksupssuck #lifeafterloss #grieving #traumahealing #expectingmom #ppd #therapyformoms #overcominganxiety #relationships101 #afterbreakup #emotionalwellbeing #feelyourfeelings #selfkindness #radicalacceptance #atlantatherapist #atlantawellness See more
