We love our clients. They are all wearing masks, and so are we. We are still following the guidelines for safety, and we are so happy to see everyone again.

Hello, clients of Melange Hair Studio. As we prepare to open our doors again, here is what we want you to know. We have taken extraordinary measures to do our absolute best to keep you safe. We are a small salon, with only two people working here. Each of us will only be allowed to have one client at a time. This is the law, according to the state board of Georgia. This means if you’re receiving a color service, there will not be a client getting a haircut during that time. I... will have one client, and Kyle will have one client, which means there will only be 4 people in 850 square feet of space. Our chairs are ten feet apart. We will take your temperature when you walk in the door, and we will provide you with a mask. There is hand sanitizer at the desk. Please use it. We will then have you sign a waiver. We are cleaning the salon between every single client. You cannot bring anyone with you to your appointment. Please do not stop by to book an appointment. Call us and we will get you on the book. If you need a retail product, please let us pull it from the shelf. With all of the new rules we are following, it is important that you book your appointment in advance. It is imperative that you are not late, and also, please don’t be more than five minutes early. There is a fifteen minute time period between each client, when we will be disinfecting the salon. I know this is a lot, but please know that we are taking your health and safety seriously. My least favorite part of this, is that for the time being, we will not be doing blow dries. There is speculation about the spread of germs due to the airflow, and hopefully this won’t be the case for very long. Please come to your appointment with clean, dry hair. Today's notice by Governor Kemp that some businesses, including salons, can reopen as early as Friday took me (and most of you) by surprise. I want you all to know I love you and can't WAIT to see you and either celebrate or hide my surprise at the state of your hair, however, I want to let you know that I will not be reopening Melange this Friday. I care so much about your health and safety (and my own!) that I need to wait a bit to find out more about the guidelines and to... put practices in place to keep us all safe while I make you beautiful. I hope you understand that I just feel it's too soon to open back up. I also want to thank all the wonderful health care workers, first responders, and grocery store clerks and everyone who has been working to keep us all fed and healthy. I'll be updating this page when the timelines are a bit clearer so please follow the page and check back in.

Covid-19 hair tips! This would be great time, especially if you have color, to stop shampooing your hair every day. When you shampoo your hair every day, your sebaceous glands go into overdrive to create more oil. This is your bodies response, in a natural effort to protect itself. When you stop shampooing every day, the oil production slows down. Trust me on this. I was an educator for 5 years and flew all over the country teaching haircuts. When my clients buy a bottle of p...rofessional shampoo from me, they usually get between 4 and 6 months out of one bottle. There are also products to dry the oil at the root, and products to condition the hair from the mid shaft to the bottom. If you have questions please reach out to me.
