Mending The Gap

May is Mental Health Awareness Month Studies have shown that seniors who are socially isolated or who lack social interaction are at higher risk for mental health issues. Especially during COVID, seniors have been struggling to keep that interaction going. Mending the Gap is trying to lower that risk in Gwinnett County by sending our seniors letters, cards and calling them weekly! You can be a part of this by signing up on our website to become a volunteer!

Mending the Gap has been serving seniors since 2010. In less than three years, we have outgrown our space due to the increasing needs of seniors in Gwinnett County. With the uncertainty of the pandemic and the growing needs of support services for seniors, we wanted to secure enough space to accommodate more seniors in our program. By the grace of God, we have completely moved into our new building! Nearly 400 low-income seniors rely on Mending the Gap every month. We are pro...ud to provide all of our services free of charge. Our mission is to help as many seniors as possible remain safe, independent and less isolated. It is through the faithfulness of God and the generosity of our partners and donors that we are able to continue serving our elderly families. We are truly blessed to have the support and commitment; we appreciate everyone who has supported us over the years. We look forward to working with you to help our seniors thrive!
