This is a reminder that Chattooga County Schools will be resuming face to face instruction on 1/25/2021. Please continue to communicate with your home school i...f someone in your household is awaiting test results for COVID-19 or has tested positive for COVID-19. We encourage everyone to wear a mask when social distancing is not possible. Masks are available in the front office of every school. Lynn Hall was voted to fill the Board of Education seat left vacant by the passing of Mr. Ballard. Superintendent Hosmer says it is the school systems plan to ...return to in-person learning on Monday, Jan. 25th. As of today there are 18 total positive Covid cases in the system (students and adults) and 45 quarantines. When the two-week emergency plan was enacted those numbers were 30 positive cases and 300 quarantined. See more

Due to Extended Closure, students in grades 1-5 will need to pick up devices and PreK will pickup packets tomorrow at the following times. If you have students multiple grade levels, you can pick up all devices at one time.

From Superintendent Hosmer: Bus 91, which is the mountain bus for Menlo Elementary school released 1130 to take students home due to weather conditions. All pa...rents of the students that ride that bus were contacted to insure someone was home to meet the bus. No other bus routes or schools are effected at this time. See more

With the return to a 5-day in-house schedule for Chattooga County Schools, the School Nutrition Department will no longer have the option to provide meal delive...ry to students who continue to utilize the virtual classroom option. However, we will still provide meal pick-up on Mondays from 12PM-1PM at each school location. Please call the number on the sign when you arrive so we can bring meals out to your vehicle. All students who utilize meal pick-up will be provided 5 days of breakfast and 5 days of lunch. All meals are free of charge because the School Nutrition Department is still operating under the Seamless Summer waiver option, provided by USDA. Also, in-house students will continue to receive free meals through the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year under the Seamless Summer waiver option provided by USDA. Menlo School Friday, 1-08, virtual learning Friday As of 3:30 this afternoon Chattooga High School has just over 2% of its total population with a positive COVI...D test result and the district has seen an increasing trend in positive numbers this week, according to Supt. Jared Hosmer. Hosmer states: As you know, our COVID plan states that we will enact our Hybrid Plan 1 when we reach 2% at any given school. Because the school reached 2% on Thursday, and the increasing numbers across the district, we will use tomorrow (1-8-2021) as a deep cleaning day across the district. Please do not send your students to school tomorrow(1-8-2021), it will be a virtual day. Monday, January 11, 2021 Chattooga High School will operate on Hybrid Plan 1; students will be virtual for Chattooga High School Monday and in-person Tuesday Friday (see attached plan). All other schools will attend in-person Monday Friday (January 11th 15th). Students who do not have access to complete work through distance learning tomorrow, Friday, January 8, 2021 will be allowed to make up work when they return to school. We appreciate your support as we work to keep everyone safe and healthy. We ask that you continue to report to your home school anyone who has been tested, having symptoms, or is positive. *if students in grades k-5 have a device, please sign into your Google classroom to access the virtual lesson. If students do not have a device, the work may be made up on Monday when students return to school. *MES students will report to school Monday, 1-11-21.
