At Mercy, we support our patients with Behavioral Health which includes individual, culturally sensitive counseling available in both English and Spanish. Patients who access our mental health services will be scheduled for either individual therapy at Mercy or may be referred to one of our community partners who provide services that best fit the patient’s needs. Did you know 50% of all lifetime mental illness begins by age 14, and 75% by age 24? A combination of the best scientists, global unity, lots of resources and a head start on coronavirus research helped us deliver breakthrough vaccines in record time. Project Finish Line... Jim McBride is a CMA Award winning, Grammy nominated songwriter and former President of the Nashville Songwriters Association International. His writing career spans over 30 years and includes over 100 album cuts, 18 top 40 singles, 10 top ten singles and 6 number ones. Originally from Huntsville, AL, Jim grew up in a house filled with music from his mother’s radio. He absorbed every note of every country song he heard and began writing songs at an early age. At 21, he traded... a pistol for his first guitar and took lessons from his uncle. He eventually contacted another songwriter from North Alabama, the legendary Curly Putman, to get advice and guidance. Curly encouraged Jim to continue to write and send his songs to Nashville. He had several cuts over the next few years but his big break had yet to come. He had been urged to move from Huntsville to Nashville to be part of the country music scene but he was reluctant to give up his steady job at the United States Post Office to pursue his dream. Jim told himself that if he ever had a song to reach the top ten, he would move his family to Nashville. In 1981, that is exactly what happened when Conway Twitty’s release of "A Bridge That Just Won’t Burn" reached #2 on the Billboard Charts. That was shortly followed by his first number one song, Johnny Lee’s "Bet Your Heart On Me." The next ten years brought many album cuts by major artist ranging from Johnny Cash to Alabama. In 1987, Waylon Jennings reached number one for the last time in his long career with "Rose In Paradise." In the early 90’s, he met a young singer looking for a record deal named Alan Jackson and an instant friendship was born. The two collaborated on a number of hit songs including "Chasing That Neon Rainbow," "Who Says You Can’t Have It All" and "Someday" -- all #1 songs. Their biggest hit came in 1993 with the smash hit "Chattahoochee." The song received the honor of Song of The Year from The Country Music Association, ASCAP, American Songwriter Magazine, British Country Music Association, Canadian Country Music Association as well as Billboard Magazine’s most performed song of the year. The song was also nominated for a Grammy and Academy

Mike was born in Panama City, Florida, but moved with his family to Athens, Georgia at the age of five. Learning the guitar became a passion for Mike. He was influenced musically by the popular folk artists of the time - Bob Dylan, John Denver, John Prine and Doc Watson. Their "thought provoking", honest musical approaches still influence Mike's singing and writing. In the late sixties he began playing in coffeehouses, speakeasies and other "nice joints" in the Atlanta and... Athens, Georgia area. In his performances, Mike included a few original songs. Positive feedback from patrons encouraged him to continue to write songs. In the late seventies, with encouragement from his wife Crystie, Mike started making regular trips to Nashville. The "dues paying" really began at this point. In 1982, after years of dropping off tapes, talking to publishers and being told "You're hooks ain't strong enough", Mike decided to record one of his own songs. He'd developed a close friendship with the late Roger Bowling, a Hall of Fame songwriter. "Roger Bowling was that first person who wanted to see me realize a dream." He introduced Mike to Byron Hill, then a young writer/producer for ATV Music Group in Nashville. Byron produced Mike's first record, "Scarlet Fever". This song was a chart maker in Billboard Magazine and a pick hit. Within weeks of Mike's release, Kenny Rogers heard the song on a local radio station and contacted Mike and asked about recording the song himself. Kenny recorded "Scarlet Fever" and released it in July, 1983. This was Mike's first published song and it became Mike's first number one. Soon after Kenny Rogers' publishing company, Lionsmate Music, signed Mike to an exclusive writer's contract. Their association lasted until Kenny sold his publishing company. Kenny has recorded six of Mike's songs to date. "Kenny Rogers is a warm and caring man and friend who gave me instant credibility as a songwriter... I can never thank him enough." See more

Ray Fulcher was born & raised in the small town of Harlem, Georgia and grew up on many of country music’s best songwriters & storytellers. Some of his biggest influences were Alan Jackson, Keith Whitley, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eric Church & George Strait. In 2016 after signing a publishing deal with River House Publishing Ray released his the EP Here We Go Again which debuted in the top 10 of the country charts & led to tours with Luke Combs (THIS ONES FOR YOU TOUR 2017) & Morgan Wallen (UP DOWN TOUR 2018) as well as extensive headlining & festivals shows. This precious Godly woman and prayer warrior, Rachel Chatham, decided instead of watching the news and worrying during Covid, that she would put her talents to good use since her daughter, Susan Bogardus, placed her under "house arrest". She got a pattern and went to work sewing masks - over 250 of them! She asked for donations for Mercy Health Center and sent us a check this month. Thank you, Ms. Chatham, for giving to the Lord!
