Our support staff works tirelessly to answer the phones, register and check in patients, fulfill other patient needs, and more. New faces in our MercyMed family pt. 4! Meet our patient care advocate, David Baum. David spent most of his life in the army as an infantry officer and chaplain. He showed up at our doorstep to volunteer when the pandemic hit and stood outside checking people's symptoms so that everyone in our clinic was kept safe. What a gift! We liked him so much that we hired him to come on as our patient care advocate. He works to find resources and solutions for our patients to help meet their needs and leads Grey Rock, our mental health support group. Congratulations to Mr. Rodriguez for perfect attendance in our Chair Yoga Class! After a near fatal car accident with multiple injuries, he found Physical Therapy care at MercyMed. He enjoys Chair Yoga because it works the stiffness out of his joints. He takes the scripture meditation home each week. He says at the end of each class he’s a little sore but deeply relaxed. It makes me stronger physically and spiritually. We have two weeks left in our Holiday De-Stress series Friday December 11 & 18 at 4pm. No sign up is required; it’s open to the community. The class is free for MercyMed patients and non-patients are invited to come and give a donation. MARKET UPDATE! Some beautiful produce has survived the frost, and we have 5 markets left until Christmas. We'll have our regular Wednesday market tomorrow, Dec. 16, and Dec. 23 from 9-12 for patient and community-only. We'll also have our Friday market this week and next from 9-12. All markets will be in front of MercyMed on 2nd Ave. Come shop for your fresh produce for Christmas! Farmer Keith will have: kale, turnips, radishes, cabbage, lettuce, carrots, beets, dill, cilantro, and spinach. No collards this week they need a rest ;) See you there! Remember double EBT value and food stamps accepted.

Tomorrow is Farmstand Friday 9AM - 12 PM!! MercyMed Farmer Keith has bulked up the fall harvest with peppers, radishes, greens, rocket lettuce mix, turnips, lemongrass, and other herbs. Pecan Point Farm will have eggs, milk, cheese, granola, pancake mix, and their famous small-batch locally creamed yogurt. ... The Old School Kitchen has baked goods, as well as vegan bento boxes, healthy entrees, sides, and herbs from Kate's garden. Her cookies are delightful! We are set up on 3rd Avenue behind MercyMed and accept cards, cash, and EBT. If you or someone you know uses food stamps, we offer a 50% discount for EBT cards.

Exercise Club is Back! Tomorrow at 1PM Scott, our Physical Therapist, is excited to offer a free workout session at MercyMed on 2nd Avenue. We will add masks and distancing to the movement and fun. Past participants used these workouts to gain the ability to get out of a chair, walk with better balance, and get motivated to exercise at home. It will work for you, too.
