Sadly, Sears closing its doors was inevitable. The store will always hold a special place in our hearts though. Thanks to the introduction of the Sears catalog, Black consumers gained options; access to goods at national prices. Prior to that, those living in the rural South during Jim Crow, typically had to buy goods on credit from local white store owners, who’d often gouge them. So, while we’ll forever be grateful that Sears helped empower our people, let this be a cautionary tale about the importance of brands evolving with consumers and the way they shop. Otherwise, many more brick and mortar stores will become history. #blackhistory https://www.forbes.com//10/23/will-sears-survive-bankrup/
Being registered to vote is just the beginning. Be sure to cast your ballot in the mid-term elections next month. Don’t leave the fate of your community in someone else’s hands, just because they showed up. #YourChoiceIsYourVoice #Vote2018 #MidtermElections #BlackVotesMatter #Georgia #MetricsMktg
Can this cherished toy store revive its brand? Toys R Us shut down its stores and filed bankruptcy in 2017. But, according to Fortune, court documents state that Toys R Us may be not be completely dead. Instead, it looks like they plan to reorganize their intellectual property into a new company that will maintain the current license agreements and can invest in new retail operating businesses. At Metrics Marketing, we are familiar with rebranding companies and hope that this is not the end of such an iconic brand http://fortune.com/2018/10/02/toys-r-us-reopening/ #ToysRUs #Reband #MarketingRebrand #AgencyRebrand #Marketing #MetricsMktg
Let’s talk ROI in marketing. How does your agency define marketing success? Depending on your strategies and tactics, with PR campaigns, KPIs can be impressions or media mentions, digital campaigns might be measured by CTR, CPC or reach/frequency, experiential campaigns by leads and social campaigns by clicks, likes or shares. All of these acronyms aside, the key is to define these success metrics before campaign execution, so that you can accurately measure and promptly triage under-performing tactics during implementation. #Marketing101 #MetricsMktg
