Failed #brachymetatarsia surgery by another surgeon with mono-rail ex-fix. For revision I chose to perform a simple metatarsal lengthening with interpositional allograft. Soft tissue work: V-Y skin plasty and plantar plate repair. Was able to regain most of her length while also repositioning the digit. Patient’s #1 concern was shoe rubbing of the 3rd digit. The dreaded "LisFranc injury". The LisFranc ligament" is an all important structure connecting the medial cuneiform to the second metatarsal base. When violated, the injury produces significant pain and loss of function.
