Golden rule: The heavier the item, the smaller the box! It’s much easier to carry heavier items when they’re in smaller boxes. Save the larger boxes for lighter things, but hard to carry on their own.

When packing books use smaller boxes. Bigger boxes get heavier quicker with lots of books in them.

Storage tip: When storing furniture for long periods of time you should always wrap or cover.

Do not overload boxes. They should be sealed with just one piece of packing tape.

Looking for a way to help speed up the packing process? Mark where to peel your packing tape by placing a toothpick horizontally on the sticky side about a half inch from the end. Remember to fold the end of the tape so it covers the toothpick and you're good to go!
