Milledgeville Exchange Club

The 96th Annual Georgia District Exchange Club is on the books. The convention was a wonderful learning and fellowship opportunity. Exchange Club of Milledgeville President, Dr. Jeff Wells, represented the club at the convention.

We are so proud of our current President, Dr. Jeff Wells! He just attended the Georgia District Exchange Club banquet and received the Director of the Year award! Go Jeff!

The Milledgeville Exchange Club awarded John Milledgeville Academy senior Cameron Giles the 2021 A.C.E. Award and Scholarship on May 6th. The award goes to a local senior who has overcome great obstacles to achieve. Cameron faced the loss of his father and grandmother, and not only did he excel, but he became a role model for his classmates and an inspiration to his teachers. We were so proud to have Cameron, his parents, faculty and staff from JMA there to support him. Congratulations, Cameron!

The Milledgeville Exchange Club honored Law Enforcement Officer of the Year, Sgt. James Spisak on June 3rd. Congratulations, and we appreciate your service to the Milledgeville community.

The members of The Milledgeville Exchange Club are proud of the club’s accomplishments this year. These are the banner patches the club has won this year from our national headquarters for various projects throughout 2020 to 2021.

We were proud to host the Freedom Speech Contest today at The Milledgeville Exchange Club. Pictured below are 1st place winner, Jayson Wright of John Milledge Academy (bow tie), and 2nd place winner, Robinson York of Baldwin County High School. Dr. Jeff Wells, President of The Milledgeville Exchange Club, presented the cash prizes.

There are many people who do not know that the main mission of The Exchange Club is the prevention of child abuse. That's understandable given that there are a lot of service and civic clubs with various missions. However, there are also a lot of people who are not quite sure what all child abuse encompasses.
