THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST POSTS I HAVE READ ABOUT THE WAR ON POLICE AND HOW THEY FEEL. SAD THAT SO MANY HAVE FORGOTTEN THE HONORABLE and SELFLESS ACTS OF THE BADGE... I have always been a fan of Kurt Russell. He speaks from his heart and finds eloquent words to express what a lot people are thinking...... Yes... let’s all join in the hatred of all police for the sins of a few. Let’s defund one of the most important public institutions in our countries history. Let’s have all badges removed and allow people to tend to their own safety and security. But before you do so, Let me tell you about the badge and the thousands of good men and women it represents. - Kurt Russell THE BADGE- This badge ran towards certain death as the Towers collapsed on 9-11. This badge ran into the line of fire to save the people in the Pulse Night Club. This badge sheltered thousands as bullets rained down from the Mandalay Hotel in Las Vegas. This badge protected a BLM rally that left five officers dead in Dallas. This badge ran into the Sandy Hook School to stop a school shooter. This badge killed the Oregon District mass shooter in seconds. This badge has done CPR on your drowned child. This badge has fist fought the wife beater who left his spouse in a coma. This badge has run into burning buildings to save the occupants. This badge has been shot for simply existing. This badge has waded through flood waters to rescue the elderly trapped on the roof. This badge has intentionally crashed into the wrong way driver to protect innocent motorists. This badge has helped find the lost child so his mother would stop crying hysterically. This badge has helped the injured dog off the road and rushed it to the vet. This badge has escorted the elderly woman across the street because she couldn't see well and was afraid to cross. This badge has bought food for hungry kids because they had been abandoned. This badge has been soaked in blood and tears. This badge has been covered by a mourning band to honor those who have sacrificed everything in service. You may hate me because I wear it. But, I wear it with pride. Despite your hate and your anger, I will await the next call for help. And, I will come running without hesitation. Just like the thousands of men and women across this great nation. This badge. - Unknown Every cop, cop friend, cop relative, and supporter should copy & paste!!! I just did!!

Had a rough day putting our pup down today, so participating in this that was sent to me to get my mind on to something different. I think most of you know me pretty well. It doesn't matter when our paths may have crossed. Maybe some of you like me and some don't, but if you're on my Facebook it's because I like you. I would love to see if we can still chat, with more than just likes, and actually write something to each other. Prompted by Brian Harralson, I’ve decided to par...ticipate in an experiment called Meeting Between Bread. The idea is to see who reads a post without a photo. We are so deep into technology that we have forgotten the most important thing: good friendship. If no-one is reading this message then it will be a short social experiment. But if you finish this to the end, I would love you to comment in one word about us, for example a place, an object, a person, a moment in which you remember me. Then copy this text and post it on your page (don't share) and I'll go to your page to leave a word that reminds me of you. Please don't comment if you don't have time to copy the text. This will destroy the experiment. Let's see who spent the time to read and respond to the request. Thank you for participating! See more

It’s just a mask. It’s just six feet. It’s just two weeks. It’s just non-essential businesses. It’s just non-essential workers.... It’s just a bar. It’s just a restaurant. It’s just to keep from overwhelming the hospitals. It’s just until the cases go down. It’s just to flatten the curve. It’s just a few inmates. It’s just to keep others from being scared. It’s just for a few more weeks. It’s just church. You could still pray. It’s just prayer. It's just singing. It’s just until we get a vaccine. It’s just a bracelet. It’s just an app. It’s just for tracing. It’s just to let people know you’re safe to be around. It’s just to let others know who you’ve been in contact with. It’s just a few more months. It's just to buy groceries. It’s just some more inmates. It’s just a video. It’s just a post. It’s just an email account. It’s just for protecting other from hate speech. It’s just for protecting others from hurt feelings. It’s just a large gathering but for protests. It’s just a little micro chip. It’s just a blood test. It’s just a test. It’s just a scan. It’s just for medical information. It’s just to store a vaccination certificate. It’s just like a credit card. It’s just a few places that don’t take cash. It’s just so you can travel. It’s just so you can get your driver’s license. It’s just so you can vote. It’s just a few more years. It’s just a song. It’s just a lyric. It’s just a few words. It’s just a piece of paper. It’s just a book. It’s just a movie. It’s just a TV show. It’s just a cartoon character. It’s just a piece of cloth. It’s just a clump of cells. It’s just a fetus. It’s just a religion. It's just your guns. It's just the military It's just your freedoms....gone forever. It's not too late..... Yet. Check out this video. Jeremy Elliot breaks it down perfectly! IG/ @theiconicpodcast

I need everybody on my timeline that believes in the power of prayer to please stop what you’re doing, take a minute, and post this. We need to flood Facebook with nothing but prayer. Our nation is hurting. Lord, we need You! Please sweep through this nation and heal this land. Restore our strength, renew our minds, and cast out anything that's not of You. In Jesus' name, WE pray. Amen.

Brave Reader, Physicist, and Challenger Astronaut Ron McNair (19501986) explored boundaries and exceeded them. When he was nine years old, he went to the town’s public library, picked out his books, and politely stood in line to check out his books. The librarian, an elderly woman, said, This library is not for coloreds, to which Ron bravely replied, Well, I would like to check out these books. She said, Young man, if you don't leave this library right now, I'm gonna ca...ll the police. Ron said, I'll wait. When the policeman came, he said to the librarian, You know, why don't you just give the kid the books? So the librarian reluctantly handed over the books to Ron. Thank you, said Ron. Eight years later, Ron graduated as high school valedictorian. He went on to graduate magna cum laude in physics from North Carolina A&T State University. After receiving a Ph.D. in physics from MIT, he became a staff physicist at the Hughes Research Lab in California. He received three honorary doctorates, a score of fellowships and commendations, and a black belt in karate. Ron was selected from a pool of 10,000 applicants for the NASA astronaut program. He flew aboard Space Shuttle Challenger in 1984, becoming the second African American to fly in space. Ron was also selected for the Challenger flight that launched on January 28, 1986. Ron and his six fellow crew membersFrancis Scobee, Michael Smith, Ellison Onizuka, Judith Resnick, Gregory Jarvis, and high school teacher Christa McAuliffewere killed when Challenger disintegrated nine miles above the Atlantic Ocean just 73 seconds after liftoff from Cape Canaveral. In 2011, the Ronald E. McNair Life History Center was dedicated as part of the restored town library where nine-year-old Ron had checked out his books in 1959. Many other schools and buildings have been named in Ron’s honor, including the Ronald E. McNair Building at MIT.

The Academy Corps’ 2018 Service Expedition - Ecuador Academy representatives spent a week laboring on the construction of a local vocational school. Academy employees and their families had the opportunity to participate and the trip was a tremendous success. Volunteers experienced the culture through the people, the amazing food, dance, and other fun activities. They came home with memories to last a lifetime. #academycorps #a+people

Members of the Academy Executive team showed off their cooking skills for a good cause on June 27 when they prepared and served a meal at the VOA Youth Shelter in Salt Lake City (UT). Their service is part of Academy’s year-long commitment to serve once a week at the center which provides meals and other important resources to homeless teens. Service to others is an integral part of the Academy culture and our executives don’t just talk the talk, they walk the walk. #academycorps #apluspeople
