ML&J Fund for Children and Youth

Here are Christmas gifts put together by Ana and Suzanne Zech. We have a drive going to have some nice gifts for middle and high school students. They are hard to shop for! We are collecting gently used or new purses for girls and personal care products for boys and girls. If you can do this, drop items by the Presbyterian Church or call the office and we will come pick up.

It has been a long time since we have posted - sorry about that!! We had a very successful Christmas 2015 with lots of new volunteers. We provided hundreds of children with warm clothes and wonderful toys and gifts. We have helped in several situations since Christmas when schools have found students needing coats and shoes and clothes. In fact we have used all of the extra coats we purchased on sale - around 20. One little girl at the Primary School asked when she had to gi...ve the new boots and coat back. Can you imagine? ML&J is always on call. Now we are getting recommendations for students who may need help with school supplies next school year. We are asking for your help in two ways: 1) Take your used clothes to Sunrise Thrift Store. In early August they will be giving free clothes to all those we approve for ML&J assistance. 2) We will be having another yard sale in late September. Please save items for us to sell. Great great news! Two women in Monticello Presbyterian Church suggested we have a yard sale to raise funds for ML&J, and God took over from there. We designated a majority of the money go to Family Connection's Back Pack Program to provide for hungry children each Friday. It looks like we made around $4600 on our yard sale!!!!! We hope monetary donations directly to the church might get us to $5000. 10% stays with ML&J for Christmas. ... You can donate to MPC for Back Pack at PO Box 308. Monticello GA 31064. May the Lord bless whatever charitable activities you are involved in as He did this one.

Huge yard sale all day Friday September 25 and Saturday morning September 26. Proceeds benefit the Back Pack program to feed hungry children on weekends and the ML &J Christmas Fund. Please come and shop or just stop by and donate to this worthy cause.

We are now collecting SUMMER clothing for our Back to School Drive!! All sizes can be dropped off at Monticello Baptist or Monticello Presbyterian churches by Sunday July 5th!
