ALWAYS make sure when mounting any type of hardware to a vehicle you utilize solid mounting points, such as the back wall (ribbed or non ribbed). DO NOT drill or self tap into plastic panels, plastic panels are essentially just covers to make the interior look nice and noise reduction. They are NOT designed to hold weight. Self tapping screws will work loose and eventually fail leaving expensive equipment open to failure and leaving holes in plastic panels. Panels can vibrate with additional weight which can lead to equipment failure as well. See here how we cut out the panel to mount the bracket.
