Unpopular Opinion #3: There’s no such thing as taking on other people’s stuff. I hear people speaking in the spiritual community about taking on other people's "stuff" - like it's a cold or something contagious. Here's my perspective, if it doesn't live in YOU or resonate someplace within YOU, someone else's "stuff" cannot impact you - it would flow right through because it would have nothing to grip. ... When you feel like you're taking on someone else's stuff, what's happening is that your personal energetic boundaries have been breached and the energy has found a place of resonance within you. It wakes up that emotion, trauma, belief or whatever resides there. You didn't take on something as much as a part of you came out of hibernation. When this happens it's time to investigate internally. Actually, it's always time to look inward because blaming someone else doesn't teach you anything about yourself. It deflects valuable lessons. Instead of asking yourself Is this mine or theirs? as I’ve witnessed many coaches advise Ask yourself where the resonance is coming from? What it is trying to show you? What needs to be learned?
