**UPDATE ON JUDY AND CAREY** **HELP NEEDED URGENTLY EVEN $5.00 WILL HELP** - from the family of Judy Montgomery As most of you know, my mom Judy Montgomery and my younger sister Carey Williams were both struck with the corona virus in early April. ... Both Judy and Carey are still struggling with this devastating virus which has left them both disabled. Mom (Judy) continues to have trouble even walking and unfortunately Medicare only pays for rehab (physical therapy, nursing visits, etc.) for a certain amount of time and then the family must find a way to cover the costs. Carey is in extremely severe pain and her out of pocket costs for medicines and doctor visits, as well as other expenses for support items they both need, are exorbitant. On top of everything else, I (Janet) have broken two ribs trying to help care for them and have pleural effusion and extreme pain and have been unable to work for a couple of months, making an already difficult situation even worse. We are having great financial difficulty supporting and caring for them due to the impact this has had on us. We have found ourselves in a very desperate situation and are having a very hard time supporting and caring for both Judy and Carey with all of their medical needs and expenses. She was released from rehab about a month and a half later and came to stay with me, her daughter Janet, near Orlando Florida. ... My sister Carey was on a ventilator for over 6 weeks and we nearly lost her to the virus. She was then transferred to two different rehab centers and was finally released, at which time she had no choice but to come and live with me as well as they both need 24/7 full time care. The disease has ravaged her body and she will need to be on disability as she can barely walk, and my mom cannot walk well either. Unfortunately, insurance companies would no longer pay for rehab although neither of them were in the proper condition to be released. We are having great financial difficulty supporting and caring for them due to the impact this has had on us. We have found ourselves in a very desperate situation and are having a very hard time supporting and caring for both Judy and Carey with all of their medical needs and expenses. Hello to all, just a quick update. My mother Judy Montgomery is still recovering from her terrible and very long battle with covid 19. Although she is no longer positive, she is still dealing with the devastating effects the virus had on her. She is living with myself and my family after finally being released from rehab and is trying to recover.
