Mount Berry Animal Hospital 15.07.2021

Update: Floyd Felines will be taking this cat once it is well and adopting it out. Please contact them if you are interested. This little girl was thrown out and brought in by a good samaritan who is willing to tend to her immediate needs (flea prevention, deworming, treating for upper respiratory infection) but can unfortunately not keep her long term. She asked that we do a courtesy post to try and find this baby a home. If you know of a good home for this baby let us know

We have still not found Sam. The last reported sighting of him was just after Christmas. We continue to hold out hope that he is still safe somewhere hopefully... nearby. Thank you to everyone who has sent prayers and advice to us on how to find Sam. Each comment is greatly appreciated. Sam was last seen in December in the area of Orchard Spring Drive in the Rivermont neighborhood off of Horseleg Creek Road. The people who saw him in those instances were pretty certain it was in fact him. If you live in that neighborhood or in any neighborhood along Horseleg Creek Road, please contact me if you see Sam. He has been missing for almost 6 months and we miss him so much. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Please spread the word! Sam was LOST on 9/8/2020 in Rome, GA 30165 near Intersection of Fox Chase & River Pine Drive, Huntcliff neighborhood. Message from Owner: This is our precious cat Sam. He is a 7 year-old neutered male. He disappeared from our yard on Tuesday morning September 8 and we are frantically looking for him. We have an invisible pet fence system around our yard in which he is trained and always stays within when he is outside. This is the first time he has ever left the yard since he was trained a year ago. We think he may have been chasing something and passed through the fence shock area, but got scared when he was shocked again trying to reenter our yard. He may be hiding somewhere hopefully nearby. *It is important to know that he is able to jump up and open lever-handled doors.* Therefore, if you live in the Horseleg Creek Road area, especially in or near the Huntcliff neighborhood, please look out for him and check anywhere that he may have entered and gotten stuck inside. Although Sam may be very scared right now, he is very affectionate and loves attention. He is a wonderful cat, and we pray that we will be reunited with him very soon. We would be very appreciative of any assistance. Thank you. Description: Gray hair (officially called blue) with gold eyes. Approximately 10 pounds. Was wearing a red leather collar and also a black collar for our electric fence. His identification tags are attached to his red collar.
