Music for Life Piano Lessons

What is one of your favorite Practice Tips? One of my favorites lately is: Do not always start from the beginning. Play from the middle, the beginning of a section, the Coda, or a tough part which needs your attention. Mix it up and start in different places when you practice!

Sound. How might you improve your sound at the piano this week? Try focussing on different techniques as you play and listen to how slight changes in technique change the sound. Staccato techniques? Arm weight? Posture or position? Breathing through phrases? Singing through phrases? Which techniques create the sounds your are looking for in your pieces?

No Piano Lessons on Monday, Jan. 4th or Tuesday, Jan. 5th. The studio will re-open on Wednesday, Jan. 6th.
