What was the message of Allah's messengers since Adam? Not a messenger did We send before thee without this inspiration sent by Us to him: that there is no god but I; therefore worship and serve Me. Surah 21:25 And they say: "(Allah Most Gracious has begotten offspring." Glory to Him! they are but servants raised to honour. They speak not before He speaks, and they act (in all things) by His command. He knows what is before them, and what is behind them, and they offer no intercession except for those who are acceptable, and they stand in awe and reverence of His glory. Surah 21:26-28

bu Umamah (RA) narrates: Rasulullah (SAW) said: Whoever stands up to perform his Wudhu, intending to offer Salah, then cleans his hands; the sins of his two hands fallout with the first drop of water. Then, when he rinses his mouth, and draws water into his nose and expels it; the sins of his tongue and two lips fallout with the first drop of water. Then, as he cleans his face, the sins of his hearing and seeing fallout with the first drop (of water). Then, when he cleans his... two arms past the elbows, and his two feet past the ankles; he becomes free of all his offences and sins, just as was his state, the day his mother gave him birth. He (then) said: Then, when he stands for Salah; Allah elevates his position, and if he (merely) sits (without standing for Salah) even then his sitting is free of sins! Source: Musnad Ahmad. We take bath regularly to clean our body of dirts, but how many of us offer regular prayers daily to clean the real dirts (sins)?

It was narrated that in the days that Musa (Alahi salaam) wandered with Bani Israel in the desert an intense drought befell them. Together, they raised their hands towards the heavens praying for the blessed rain to come. Then, to the astonishment of Musa (Alahi salaam) and all those watching, the few scattered clouds that were in the sky vanished, the heat poured down, and the drought intensified. It was revealed to Musa that there was a sinner amongst the tribe of Bani Isra...el whom had disobeyed Allah (Subhanahu wa taala) for more than forty years of his life. Let him separate himself from the congregation, Allah (Subhanahu wa taala) told Musa (Alahi salaam). Only then shall I shower you all with rain. Musa (Alahi salaam) then called out to the throngs of humanity, There is a person amongst us who has disobeyed Allah for forty years. Let him separate himself from the congregation and only then shall we be rescued from the drought. That man, waited, looking left and right, hoping that someone else would step forward, but no one did. Sweat poured forth from his brow and he knew that he was the one. The man knew that if he stayed amongst the congregation all would die of thirst and that if he stepped forward he would be humiliated for all eternity. He raised his hands with a sincerity he had never known before, with a humility he had never tasted, and as tears poured down on both cheeks he said: O Allah, have mercy on me! O Allah, hide my sins! O Allah, forgive me! As Musa (Alahi salaam) and the people of Bani Israel awaited for the sinner to step forward, the clouds hugged the sky and the rain poured. Musa (Alahi salaam) asked Allah (Subhanahu wa taala), O Allah, you blessed us with rain even though the sinner did not come forward. And Allah (Subhanahu wa taala) replied, O Musa, it is for the repentance of that very person that I blessed all of Bani Israel with water. Musa (Alahi salaam), wanting to know who this blessed man was, asked, Show him to me O Allah! Allah (Subhanahu wa taala) replied, O Musa, I hid his sins for forty years, do you think that after his repentance I shall expose him?

Alexander the Great is known as the most powerful military leader and conqueror of the ancient world. Before he turned 30 years old he conquered an empire stretching over 3,000 miles from Greece to India. He was born in 356 BC in Macedonia, known today as northern Greece. On his sickbed and during his last hour alive, Alexander the Great told his generals "After my death, when you put my body in the casket, let my arms hang over the edges with my palms wide open, so the publi...c can see my empty hands while I am leaving the world." After he died, many dignitaries came to view the royal funeral and were very surprised to see his arms hanging over the edge of the casket with his palms wide open. They asked questions about this unique scene. A wise man told them "O People, Alexander the Great is telling us that when he ruled the world, great treasures of gold, silver and wealth came to be under his possession. Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Three things follow the bier of a dead man, two of them come back and one is left with him: the members of his family, wealth and his good deeds. The members of his family and wealth come back while his deeds alone are left with him. (Sahih Muslim)

"When you see another who is better off than you in respect of wealth, look on one who is below you. That is more proper, that you do not hold in contempt the favor of Allah towards you. Beware of envy, for it eats up goodness as fire eats up fuel."

'O believers, you must fast so that you may learn self restraint. Fasting is prescribed for you during a fixed number of days, so that you may safeguard yourselves against moral and spiritual ills. (Surah 2:183-4)

One of the Prophet's most famous Hadith concerned the respect a Muslim should show to his or her mother. It was asked: "Who of all people is the most deserving of the best treatment from my hand? He said: your mother. The man said again: 'Then, who is next?' He said: 'Again, it is your mother.' He said: Then who? He said: Again, it is your mother.' He said: 'Then who?' Thereupon, he said 'Then it is your father.' (Muslim)

"When they ask you concerning wine and gambling, say: In them is great sin and a little profit; but the sin is greater than the profit." Surah 2:218

WHAT WE BELIEVE "Say: We believe in Allah (God) and that which has been revealed to us, and that which was revealed to Abraham, Ismael, Isaac, Jacob and the tribes, and in that given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to God do we submit our will. Surah 3:84
