SPRING! Have you started your spring to- do list? One of my must dos, is to get that bug zapper going! It’s also a good idea to look around your property for standing water. Mosquitos need very little water to hatch. If finding a new home is on your spring to-do list, I can help you knock that off your list. You can message me or call on my cell to talk about your next home. (678) 614 - 4214

Call before you dig! It’s the law! Fall is a great time for planting and yard work. Stay safe, call 811 and get the underground utilities marked before you dig. It is also a good idea to have lines marked before planting, putting up fences, mailboxes, retaining walls, aerating your yard, grading, tilling or using an auger. You never know where utility lines are.... It is free! When you call for a locate request it is immediately sent to all utility owners in your area. And it’s FREE!! Have a wonderful fall !!! How Often Should You Change Your Home HVAC Filter? No two homes are the same, so despite guidelines, you may need to change your furnace filter more or less often than your neighbor does. You should check your filter monthly and change as needed, depending on the type of filter you use. To determine if it’s too dirty, remove the filter and hold it up to the light. If you can no longer clearly see light, change the filter. In spring and fall, the filter generally won't get as dirty because there's not as much need for heating and cooling, so you can get by with not changing it as often. Don't cut that grass too short This is a common mistake made by many homeowners trying to increase the time between mowing. Cutting the grass really short creates the perfect opportunity for weeds to creep in while the grass struggle to grow back to its optimal height Keep the mower blade Sharp. Try to never remove more than one-third of the grass blade at a time. Never cut grass in the hottest part of the day. It’s not good for you or your lawn. Early morning or late afternoon is best. Water the lawn frequently and deeply. Pull weeds up slowly try to get all the roots. Weeds will be easier to pull after a good rain or watering

Lawn Fertilizer One of the most important things you can do for your lawn is to fertilize it. Fertilizer helps to makes your grass green, lush and strong, helping your grass to grow and look great. The best time to fertilize your lawn is in the spring, when the soil temperature reaches 55 degrees Fahrenheit. You'll know when the soil warms up to 55 because the lilacs begin to blossom and the g...rass starts growing. Lawn fertilizer is mostly composed of 3 main parts: nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Just like protein for your body, this combination of elements helps to strengthen the weak parts of your soil and helps to nurture your lawn. Each one of these elements serves a different purpose in improving the health of your lawn: Nitrogen helps with the production of chlorophyll, a chemical needed for photosynthesis. Phosphorus helps your lawn develop healthy roots and stems. Potassium helps your lawn resist drought and disease. It also helps your grass grow big and strong, protecting it from weather and use.
