Nana's House Daycare

I am a licensed in-home daycare provider and have been doing this for over nine years. I accept children from 3 months old to 3 years old - or so. I can have up to 3 infants under the age of one and six children total. Not only does each child in a group this small get personal attention and love, but it copies the situation in a family where normally there is a range of ages and younger children learn from the older ones. I am focused on early language development and s...peak to children in full sentences all day. I encourage the love of the natural world as well as artistic development and outdoor play with a sandbox and ride-on and building toys and a slide.. Children over one receive breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack included in the tuition. Most of their food is cooked by me daily. We have been having fun observing squirrels and birds up close and personal. We create abstract art with crayons and paper. Having just lost our oldest girl because of a move, I am hoping to find new friends for a sweet 16 month old boy. I am seeing considerable interest from parents of new infants and those wanting to reserve a place for a child not yet born. Referring back to when I said I was putting up a hummingbird feeder on the window......it is there, but the large hanging feeders on the back deck and in the front yard get most of the action, No more worries about whether we still have hummingbirds to watch. There is lots of action and even the 11 month old sees appreciates them. I believe the birds have adapted to our noise and now they put on quite a show. Since the oldest is one and a half we would love to add some m...ore kids between one and three so we can learn from each other like an actual family! We kick a ball around....well i try to explain that in soccer your hands are the only body part you can't touch the ball with (that's all I know about the game). We are learning the names of our body parts and working on learning counting, colors, songs and hopefully soon the alphabet, We have pretend dinners with dolls and toy food and cook in the toy kitchen. With some slightly older friends I am hoping to make toddler yoga a regular thing, I do favor carefully supervised running and using the slide in the living room. Some of you have asked whether I have availability foe a child of a certain age. Because I have not been able to get the tutoring I need on facebook I cannot answer you directly online and I respect your privacy.
