Have you heard? Some amazing donors are challenging the community to donate to NETWorks--and they are adding $2 for every $1 you give! The goal is to raise a total of $75,000 and we're 75% of the way there! Can you give today to help your neighbors facing financial difficulties? Thank you for any gift you can make. https://www.networkscoop.org/sandra

Many are asking what NETWorks is doing to respond to community changes caused by Covid-19 responses. -- , . And we are doing it with a faith that God will provide us with what we need, when we need it. A theology of abundance, not scarcity or fear. But we also know God acts through people--we see it every day. Thank you. What does all that mean today? 1. We are doubling the amount ...of food we distribute to each pantry visitor. 2. We are lifting some of the limits on food and personal care choices for our pantry visitors. 3. We are instituting social distance policies to protect our volunteers, visitors, and staff. 4. We have implemented policies to protect our volunteers. 5. We are cleaning like crazy and washing our hands all the dang time! If things get more challenging re: personal contact, we may move to to a pre-packed bag of food and offer X # of bags per family depending on family size. We have not implemented that yet. If infections build as expected, please let us know if you know of ill or house-bound people who cannot get to us for food. We have potential measures to address that circumstance. If you want to provide food or funds (for us to buy food), please see the links below for Amazon, WalMart, and our giving page. The need continues to grow. We have upped the target for this appeal. Please consider a donation before the end of 2020. https://www.networkscoop.org/sandra

This is happening right here in our community. We are getting more and more calls from people facing eviction, even with a moratorium on eviction. If you don't understand the complexities of how evictions impact the lives of people living on the edge, please take the time to read this article. https://www.nbcnews.com//large-corporate-landlords-have-fi

If you have some time to volunteer, we have lots of openings. Food distribution is Wed/Fri/Sat from 9:45-1:15. That sign up link: https://signup.com/go/XyHGTNy Packing bags is Tue/Wed/Fri from 2-5 (approx.). That sign up link: https://signup.com/go/qrFucSp If you've never done it, no sw...eat--it's all on the job training! We do require that all volunteers sign up so we can manage the numbers of people, social distance, and all that. We check temps, require masks (provide them if necessary) and gloves, and all service is done outdoors. C'mon...it'll be fun, you'll see!
