Thanking each of you for how you contributed to feeding others of God’s children.

Who are the saints in your life? This coming Sunday, November 1, we will be celebrating All Saints Day. The founder of Methodism, John Wesley, considered it one of the greatest celebrations in the life of the church. It was a festival he dearly loved. We will continue tradition by taking a special time to remember those saints from among us who have died in the past year. We will also take some time to celebrate the saints from a broader understanding recalling that in h...is letters to the churches at Corinth, Ephesus, and Colossae, the Apostle Paul offered greetings to the saints there, to people who were very much alive! The saints were, and are, people who have heard and accepted the call of Jesus Christ to believe and follow and who have committed themselves to life in Him. The saints we celebrate include historic martyrs for the faith, people we have personally known and loved who have gone on to glory, and people still with us who are drawing us to Christ all the saints who inspire us by their example to deeper and stronger love for God and God’s people. So between now and Sunday, be thinking about your list the saints who have had great and lasting influence on your faith, both alive now and those saints that have gone on to glory. We will call their names as we celebrate the communion of saints! See more

Our Sunday evening Bible study moves to a new time starting Sunday, October 25: 5:30 p.m. We wrapped up our deep dive into Paul’s letter to the Ephesians last week, and will begin our exploration of the Gospel of Luke this week. This is an in-person group, with appropriate COVID protocol. Join us!

BLESSING PRAYER Almighty and gracious God: We give you thanks for the animals of Your creation that inhabit the skies, the earth, the sea, and our homes. They share in the every part of our lives. You had Noah save animals from the flood and then you made them part of your promise of presence and restoration. You used these parts of your creation to save Jonah; deliver bread to Elijah; and be examples of redemption in Nineveh. We, therefore, claim Your blessing on these animals. We praise You for the majesty of Your creation, for the gift of these animals, and for the blessing we experience with them in our lives. Amen.

We were unable to get a video from today’s service... so I was a little ahead of myself when I said that we would have a video of the service. Please hang with us as we are upgrading our sound and video services. We are going to get this going and God will be glorified in it all.
