Each photo shows a different element of our week, whether it is a fun solo picture or our group eating lunch together with two other church groups. We’ve built bridges, laughed together, and grown deeper in our faith. The photos here represent a small piece of the whole. Look for the photo dump coming soon!

Cliff has an eye for taking photos of flowers (and did you know he’s pretty good at piano?). The Garden Guild’s planning is on full display and Cliff is showing that they don’t moss around. Our Easter season is absolutely radishing! We love celebrating the talents of the Garden Guild who keeps the Cornerstone Garden so beautiful! #gardenpuns? #youknowit

After passing through the Montreat gates, the rest of the group has been introduced to the competitive game of Spike Ball, which is mostly spent arguing about whether or not it was a pocket shot or a rim shot. We then sat together in our section for our first keynote. Finally, we had a moment’s reprieve at Lake Susan. More pictures to come!

On Saturday, NPC youth stopped at Sliding Rock (or Slippery Rock, depending on who you ask). Lassie was the most famous guest until we got there! Enjoy the photos and know that there’s so many more coming!

We need volunteers to help the Outreach Summer Lunch program! Go to https://bit.ly/3uqsVPS and sign up to help out. We need folks throughout the summer and there are a few days where the bus isn't at the church, so we need a driver with a truck. Please sign up wherever you can!

"Jesus has tried repeatedly to explain to the religious leaders who he is, who God is, how God works and what God wants from all of us. Jesus works to explain economic systems of oppression and injustice. Jesus heals the sick, welcomes the unwelcomable, and in every action and every word conveys a love and grace to which all should aspire. And yet, Nicodemus and the rest of the Pharisees cannot grasp how they are to live. Nicodemus, why are you concerned with heavenly things when you cannot fully comprehend earthly things." --Jesus Saves, preached by Rev. David Jones on 5/30/2021

Our nation exists because of the sacrifice of men and women who fought and died to preserve it. Today, NPC remembers those veterans who gave their life in service. Our prayers are for peace for our nation and comfort for the families of those who have lost loved ones. Our offices will be closed in observance of Memorial Day.

The Senior Adult Ministry met on Tuesday for lunch. As Gwyn Kozma said, we’re a rowdy bunch! We think they were excited to spend time together again! What a great experience capped off with David speaking about updates in the church. See you next time, SAM!
