UPDATE Power has been restored and businesses have returned to normal operations! POWER OUTAGE... Newnan PD has been made aware of a power outage on Newnan Crossing Bypass from Lower Fayetteville Road, all the way to Bullsboro Drive. Newnan Utilities is also aware and is working as quickly as possible to get the issue resolved. If you can, stay out of the area as all of the traffic lights are out. If you must travel the roads in this area, please remember to use the intersections as 4-way stops. No, we do not have an estimated time for it to be fixed, so no need to bombard our dispatcher with phone calls. We will update this post as soon as we have more information!!

On Tuesday, Newnan Utilities staff prepared 900+ meals for Piedmont Newnan Hospital staff. We grilled hotdogs, hamburgers, and had a blast during their spirit week event!

Update 9:20 AM: Our crews are working hard to restore power. We have multiple trees and poles down. Some of the hardest hit areas are in the Sherwood Drive and Woodbine area. Please be careful as you are out on the road this morning.

We are currently experiencing widespread outages due to the storm. All of our crews are working to get service restored as quickly as possible.
