Collard greens are coming up nicely. Can't wait to cook some in fat and totally ruin any nutritional value!
Don't know why I keep mispelling "threw" with "through". All part of this strange coma I've been in for a year and a half. All this stuff is not really happening to me. I'm actually in a hospital bed somewhere after a horrible accident. Why don't they just go ahead and unplug me?
Against my wife's advise, I decided to ride my horse again today. Yep, he bucked my off again and I rebroke my collar bone. At least I stayed on for a while this time before he through me. I then had a boxing match with him in which I won. Seriously considering eating the horse - for real this time. If anyone would be interested in some fresh horse meat, let me know!! Or, if anyone knows how to make glue, let me know. Can horse skin be used for anything?
Turning dirt, planting seeds, killing chickens - slowly
Whoever corrects my spelling in the future will go the way of my horse and chickens (see previous posts). Thought for the day: He who goes to bed with itchy butt, wakes up with stinky finger.
Sorry - my horse threw me, not through me.
Been offline for a while. Horse through me and I broke my collar bone. Executed and ate horse. Been turning and getting dirt ready for Fall planting. Yesterday, we harvested butter beans and muscadines, today we planted collard greens, tomorrow a last crop of green beans, then mustards and turnips. We still have water mellon and cantelope producing, along with muscadines.
Monday: 1. Executed two rabbits, cleaned and froze them. Now have four for a good stew. Will try this same process on neighbors tomorrow. 2. Got some good training in today with my horse, Zeus. He seems to do much better after you beat the crap out of him. Will try same process on neighbors tomorrow. Tomorrow's to-do list: 1. Execute, clean, and freeze neighbors after beating the crap out of them.
Rain has been great this season thus far. What we have coming up is: Silver queen corn, white field corn, watermelon, cantaloupe, bush beans, field peas, cucumber, turnip greens, mustard greens, and sunflowers (to attract bees, and they are pretty). Will be planting pole beans between my corn rows once the corn gets taller. I will post when harvesting begins so you can come get some delicious, natural produce!
Got bush beans planted yesterday. We have a hen sitting on 17 eggs. Good thing too - we were down to 7 chickens after eating most of then during the winter!! Time to restock!!!
Corn came up overnite - silver king and white field corn will be ready in 70 days.
Chickens are loose, horse disrespects me, deer eat everything, dog is scared of deer. Will be moving our operations to the Alaskan wilderness in the Arctic Circle where I think we will have better results raising Polar Bears and growing snow.
