At Tuesday’s Board of Education Meeting, Janet and Clayton presented their PBL unit. It culminated in the publication of a children’s book. See the webpage story here. Students and a parents spoke about the PoG skills they developed and the deep content knowledge they obtained. The parent’s comments were very impressive as one mom shared her daughter’s excitement for learning. Janet and Clayton’s PBL exemplifies the kind of deeper learning we want for every child to experience every year. I know many of you are working on and have executed similarly deep, rich, and engaging learning units. https://www.pike.k12.ga.us/site/default.aspx

We have reserved next week for students who need additional support or who would like to improve their grades. Any student enrolled in a virtual class must fulfill the requirements of that course. The exam schedule is posted below If you and your student are satisfied with their current grades, any absence next week will be excused. If you have questions for individual teachers, please contact that teacher. For more details, go to www.pike.k12.ga.us/nga
