Having a hearing loss does not necessarily mean you will be unemployed or make less money, but it does add a great barrier in the work place. Studies have shown that it has effected many.

Hearing clearly again can be beautiful, but also overwhelming at first. Over time, if a hearing loss is ignored, the brain can forget a sound. Something as simple as a dishwasher hum can sound too loud once you begin wearing hearing aids. The good news is that your brain will adjust! Out of the 48 million people that have hearing loss in the US, it’s normal to assume that the vast majority are 65 and older. The truth is the opposite. For those suffering from hearing loss in the US, roughly 62 percent are younger than 65.

Our Practice Manager, Megan, and Audiology Assistant, Amber, had a great time celebrating our Veteran's at the Charity Golf Tournament this past Friday. Come see us on November 2nd at Hawk's Ridge Golf Course in support of Goshen Valley. They recruit, train, license, and support foster families within the state of Georgia.
