Newnan High School Tip Off Club

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Noah Brown started playing basketball in middle school and has played all four years at Newnan. His favorite athlete is Giannis Antetokounmpo and his favorite teacher is Mr. Johnson. Noah has already been accepted to attend UGA in the fall where he will focus on a pre-law and sports management curriculum. When he finishes at Georgia, he plans on going to law school in California and eventually working as a sports and entertainment lawyer/agent. Noah’s favorite food is steak and jambalaya and he enjoys playing 2K and hanging with friends. His most influential coach has been Coach Britt who taught him how to play his position and provided him with encouragement and motivation.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Shynia Patterson also known as Nya or Nybugg started playing basketball in 4th grade. Her favorite athlete is Stephen Curry and her favorite teachers include Ms. Murray and Mrs. Ware. After high school Nya’s plans include getting a license for business and her dream college is Alabama A&M. Shynia enjoys doing hair, sleeping and eating especially wings! Her most influential coaches have been Coach Olgetree and Coach Caruthers who believed in her and pushed her to be the best player she can be.

Tonight is SENIOR NIGHT! Come out to watch some great basketball as we celebrate our senior athletes. Special program immediately after the girls game (approx 7:15 pm). Join us as we acknowledge Hailey, Noel, Shynia, Kevin, Jaden, Tay, Kyle, Noah, Harrison and our two senior team managers Matthew and Timia! JV start off at 4:30, Varsity Girls game start time is 6:00 pm and Varsity Boys after at 7:30 pm vs. Westlake.
