More Progressive info today. This post is from a guy in North Carolina who helps customers recover what is owed to them. Do not take advice on how to collect money from those that owe it to you !

Feeling a little angry this morning. Yesterday I found out from 2 customers that the Progressive Insurance representative handling their claim had called them both to say how hard my shop is to deal with. I wonder how many times it has happened and I did not hear about it. They don't like that we fix vehicles as the manufacturer intended. We use real Original Equipment Sheet Metal. Progressive wants us to use Chinese Knockoffs. They want this for one reason. It's Cheaper for... them. They have decided they don't like our fees and charges on Total Loss vehicles even though they have paid them no questions asked for years. They have tried to get my customers to move their vehicles to the Progressive shop nearby where Progressive dictates how the vehicles are repaired. There are shops that make a deal with Progressive to use cheap substandard parts and questionable labor practices in exchange for an endless stream of referrals. We will pass on a job rather than agree to cut corners and make incorrect repairs. So if you hear from an insurance company that we are "Hard to deal with" just know we can be when it involves repairing your vehicle correctly. Our only deal is with you, our customers. Don't take advice on how to collect money from those that owe it to you !
