Forsyth-Hall-Banks-Jackson-Madison-Gwinnett-Barrow- 735 PM EST Sat Feb 6 2021 ...ISOLATED SLICK ROADWAYS FROM BRIEF MIX OF SNOW AND SLEET THIS EVENING IN PARTS ...OF EASTERN NORTH GEORGIA... A few brief periods of snow and sleet could allow for some patchy slick roadways this evening, mainly along and north of a Lawrenceville to Danielsville line. Motorists should please use caution in this area for the next few hours. This should transition back to primarily all rain by 10 pm this evening aside from the area farther north currently in the Winter Storm Warning and Winter Weather Advisory.

The Department of Public Health will be opening a COVID vaccine Point of Distribution (POD) in Jackson County. The POD will be open on February 10, 17, 24, Marc...h 3, 10, and 17 from 8am to 5pm. This will be for any Jackson County resident who falls within Category 1A. You MUST go to the link below and register. You can also call the COVID hotline at (706)340-0996 to register. Again, you MUST register to attend this event. Someone from Public Health will call you to schedule an appointment and give you the location to come to.
