Want peach season to last all year?? Try out this method for peach freezing! You’ll want ripe peaches if you buy some that are still firm, let them sit on the counter for a couple days first! 1. using a pairing knife, cut a small x on the bottom of the peach... 2. place peach in boiling water for 10-15 seconds 3. remove from water, place immediately in an ice bath to stop cooking 4. once cool, peel the peach starting from the x on the bottom, it should be very easy to peel! 5. after peeling, cut the peach in half around the pit, and twist the two halves to separate and remove pit 6. slice the halves into whatever size wedges you’d like and place is bowl 7. toss with juice of 1 lemon and 1/2 teaspoon of sugar for every 8-10 peaches 8. place in gallon freezer bag (6-8 cups/bag), release air and seal 9. place on baking sheet and flatten bag before moving to freezer 10. once peaches are frozen, remove the baking sheet! **using a baking sheet ensures bags are flat and allows you to stack and store more!** We hope you enjoy and as always thank you for shopping local!
