A super interesting article that looks outside the box for ways to deal with temper tantrums at various ages. Excellent read.

Not always easy to do! But let’s try starting tomorrow! Also, if you’ve got a sick kiddo, remember our WAM telemedicine appts from 7:30-8:30am are available! Call on the sick line at 7:30 tomorrow and see us from your home instead of heading to UC! Hope you’re all enjoying this beautiful weekend. Post a pic of what you’re up to in the comments!

Good article that both Dr Metzig and Philip passed along about how to keep things safe when your big kids come home from college in the next couple weeks. No, we aren’t telling everyone to cancel Thanksgiving! But to make wise choices the couple weeks before turkey day, the few days before (especially if kids aren’t feeling so well), and the pros/cons of testing. Remember, tests are notoriously inaccurate (mainly false negatives) on asymptomatic people. Good advice.

An excellent article about something we definitely used to see pre-pandemic and are seeing definitely more of during the pandemic. Check it out.

This is an article for women with ADHD but it sure is great for our teens with it too. And i tell *all* my newly diagnosed kids with ADD about this website. It’s awesome. Good help articles for kids just struggling with organization too.

A reminder we are only open this morning. If your child needs to be seen, call early to book. We will have plenty of spots available bc we are running today like a Sat clinic! As always a doc is on call for emergencies after we close. We will be open regular hours tomorrow.

Important schedule info for tomorrow! With it being Election Day, and with seeing the lines for the primary alone, the partners decided this summer to make tomorrow like a Sat on our schedule. So, we will have 4 providers seeing sick kids IN THE MORNING ONLY on Tuesday. Call early if you think your child needs to be seen. We will have plenty of spaces available! As always, a doc will be on call for emergencies and we will be back in the office regular day, Wednesday!

It’s 7:00 am and not 8! Turn those clocks back if they haven’t already done it themselves. Also there’s a good article last week about sleep and daylight savings (bottom line-it’s going to take a minute if you’ve not already been working on it). Also! Don’t forget about our WAM telemed visits tomorrow from 7:45-8:30. You’ll need to download the Anytime Pediatrics App whose link came last week in the Phreesia email if your child has a rash, sinus infection, stomach infection or something TM supports. Call us at 7:30am tomorrow on the sick line and ask for it!

Lots of fun for us over the last 10 years. Can’t wait to see pics of your costumes too! Post below in comments. As last post said, don’t forget your Epipen, plus warm clothes and some hand sanitizer. Have a great evening!
