This past week, our team opened the SR 400 Southbound to Interstate 285 Eastbound flyover ramp to traffic on the Transform 285/400 project in #Atlanta, Georgia. The new design will significantly improve #mobility at the interchange as it shifts from a clover-leaf design to a flyover ramp, facilitating a safer transition between highways for drivers. Check out this drive-thru of the new SR 400 SB to I-285 EB ramp. Motorists will cross into the farthest right lane to take Exit 4A on SR 400 SB to access I-285 EB. Motorists will enter onto I-285 EB just before the Perimeter Center Parkway bridge overpass

The new SR 400 southbound to I-285 eastbound ramp stretches over 2,500 feet and rises over 80 feet tall above the existing SR 400 northbound alignment, making it the tallest structure on the project. #Transform285400

The tallest portion of the new ramp from SR 400 southbound to I-285 eastbound is known as Bent 8. This structure rises over 80 feet and the cap on Bent 8 holds up 200-foot long steel beams that weigh over 400,000 pounds. #Transform285400 #NPC285400 #FerrovialConstruction
