Everyone crossed the finish line at this year's BGMC Oasis Road Race. We had 61 runners from all over Georgia and raised nearly $12,000 for clean water through ...Africa Oasis. Oasis Road Race 2021 will be in October. This is primarily due to the fact that ORR 2020 was done in October because Covid prevented us from having the race in April as normal, and we felt doing the race in April 2021 was too close to last year’s race.

Oasis Road Race 2020 finished strong. Together we raised over $11,000 for clean water through Africa Oasis. Thank you to all our runners, churches, and volunteers who helped and served today. Special thank you to our Royal Ranger FCF group for providing a shotgun start with black powder rifles.

We are excited for our upcoming 10th Annual BGMC Oasis Road Race on Saturday, October 17 at Camp Timberlake. Normally the BGMC Oasis Road Race takes place at Stone Edge Church in Macon; however, because of Covid restrictions, we’ve had to move our location for this year’s race only. Click here for general information about the Oasis Road Race. Here are several ways for you and your church to partner with us: 1. Become a runner on race day. Another option for people to be... involved is to participate as a phantom runner. Every church who has 10 phantom runners or more will have their T-shirts mailed to the church. 2. Recruit volunteers for various activities on race day. Volunteer names and contact information should be sent Janna Graham, GA KidMin Administrative Assistant (see contact info below). 3. Become a sponsor. Sponsorship can be done by churches, businesses, and/or individuals. 4. Choose an upcoming Sunday to promote the race and give opportunity for church members to give an offering commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the Oasis Road Race. Every dollar given will help provide clean water because Every Dollar Digs. 5. Since this is a district event, promote the event to your church. Oasis Road Race is for all ages. This is a great opportunity for families to have fun together while modeling showing compassion to others. As an added incentive, for every 15 people who participate in the 5K in person from any church, a FREE kids camp scholarship will be given to that church.
