@oconeecoschools is graciously hosting a food drive benefiting @oarc_oconeeconnection for the month of April. Drop off items at bins located at each school or the bin located at OARC headquarters. Thank you for supporting OARC and the families we will serve this summer!

The Briscoe Family Foundation at the Athens Area Community Foundation first partnered with OARC in March 2020 to provide mobile food pantries in the midst of the COVID shutdown. Recently, Matt Dixon with The Briscoe Family Foundation at the Athens Area Community Foundation made an additional generous donation totaling $2,500 to @oarc_oconeeconnection to aid in funding our Summer Food for Kids program. Pictured are Meredith Metcalf (OARC Board of Directors), Amanda Davis (OARC Executive Director), Matt Dixon (The Briscoe Family Foundation) and Sarah McKinney (Athens Area Community Foundation). We are appreciative of their support and excited to partner again!

Farmers to Families boxes will be available for pickup on Saturday morning beginning at 10:30 am at Oconee County High School. Boxes may include fresh produce, milk, yogurt, cheese and a protein.

Happy National School Social Worker Week to LeAnne Hale and Brian Bishop! They are an integral piece of the work OARC does in Oconee County and we are grateful for them every single day!

H U G E thanks to everyone who participated in our February #loveyourneighbor Food Drive! We collected approximately $6,000 towards our Food for Kids program. With 150 kids receiving a bag of food each week, that supports approximately 8 weeks of our program!

This Christmas has been a wonderful example of the teamwork and spirit of OARC! Thanks to our Work-based Learning Student, Paisley, for her hard work, our volunteer delivery teams, & OARC employees for all going above and beyond! Dozens of children in foster care, local families and seniors all benefited from your generosity!

Since March, the Drivers & Transportation Staff of @oconeecoschools have done more than safely transport students! They have also helped deliver countless meals to pickup sites during distance learning. We applaud their dedication to the children of Oconee Co! Our Summer Food for Kids Coordinator, Lisa Royals, is also a driver for Oconee Co, just another thing that makes her great! Happy National Bus Safety Week!
