Please be prepared upon arrival at the Civic Center to have your temperature taken and have several COVID questions asked. If you answer yes to any of the COVID questions you will be asked to move to an offsite room for further questions from the Judge. You will be required to wear a mask. In response to the evolving situation surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19) and to reduce possible transmission, all Oconee County Government buildings, including the Oconee County Courthouse, will close to the public effective Tuesday, March 17, at 5 p.m. through April 1. The Clerk of Courts office will remain accessible to the public. Individuals who need to visit the Clerk of Courts office should call ahead to 706-769-3940. Upon arrival at the courthouse, individuals who hav...e called ahead may call the Clerk of Courts office from their cell phone, and a deputy will admit them. Please be aware we offer several alternative methods of service to the public that do not require a visit to the Courthouse. **** Attention **** All Arraignments, Status Hearings and Probation Status scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2020, for Judge Lott has been continued until a later date. You will receive notice of your next court date in the mail.
