Congratulations Kenneth Harlin! Kenneth has been selected to represent Oglethorpe Charter School as the October Student of the Month. Kenneth is a high performi...ng 8th grader taking 3 high school classes this year (9th Comp Lit, 9th Math and 9th Physical Science). He is currently on pace for high honor roll with his current grades. Kenneth is involved in all aspects of school life at Oglethorpe. He is a member of the FBLA Leadership Club and also played on the Titan Basketball Team. Kenneth plans to go South Effingham College and Career Academy for high school and play basketball for South Effingham High School. Kenneth would like to use his basketball talents and attend the basketball-strong University of Kentucky. His back up plan if scholarship collegiate basketball does not take place will be to attend Georgia Tech and major in engineering. Kenneth enjoys building and creating things and feels like he will be a good fit for engineering in the future. Kenneth naturally admires both of his parents, but he also admires Labron James for his incredible work ethic and great mindset. Congratulations Anna Friedman! Anna has been selected to represent Oglethorpe Charter School as the September Student of the Month. Anna is currently taking 4 ...high school classes: Physical Science, Algebra 1, 9th Comp Lit, and Spanish. Anna is a high performing High Honors student that excels academically and athletically. Anna has a passion for gymnastics. She is currently a Level 7 gymnast at Summit Gymnastics and trains 18 hours a week. Anna also enjoys singing in the OCS Chorus and would like to use that skill set to audition for Savannah Arts Academy. During her free time, Anna enjoys watching and making TikTok videos. Anna hopes to attend the University of Georgia and obtain her Master’s Degree in Kinesiology. She hopes to coach gymnastics one day to help athletes achieve their best. Anna is inspired by her gymnastics coach, Sabrina Madsen. Sabrina has inspired Anna because she overcame cancer as a teenager, got a degree in Kinesiology, runs her own circus fitness studio, competes internationally in Pole Sports, and coaches gymnastics. Anna is a positive role model for all OCS students. She is driven to be successful in anything that she sets her mind to do. I am sure all the OCS teachers would agree that she is just simply a Great Kid! See more
